(LAS VEGAS) – Thanks to several local celebrities and personalities giving up one Saturday morning for a good cause, the Dunkin’ Donuts second annual “Celebrity Restaurant Challenge” raised more than $12,000 for Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation’s Camp Cartwheel. The amount will send a total of 50 kids to Camp Cartwheel. The inaugural event last year brought in $7,500.
The event, held on Saturday, June 6, featured local celebrities working at Dunkin’ Donuts locations across the valley. Gross sales generated during the two-hour event were donated by Dunkin’ Donuts Las Vegas franchisee groups to NVCCF.
NVCCF’s Camp Cartwheel is an outdoor three-night camp experience designed to help children with cancer or other critical illnesses as well as their siblings overcome the physical, mental and emotional obstacles posed by childhood disease.
