Under the business brand of Consensus, Ms. Campbell has represented Apple Inc., Boyd Gaming, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Shreck, Employers Insurance, Harrah’s Operating Group, Lionel Sawyer and Collings, Fulbright and Jaworski, MGM City Center, McDonald Carano Wilson, Molasky Group of Companies, Nevada Certified Court Reporters Board, Nevada Mining Association, Nevada Golf Course Owners Assn., Reno Tahoe Airport Authority, Rice Silbey Reuther Sullivan, Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center and Whittier Trust Company of Nevada.
Ms. Campbell’s 20 years of experience on the tax commission give her a unique insight into Nevada taxation procedures, experience that she uses to help companies implement proper administration of tax law and gauge the impact of tax legislation, tax regulations and tax initiatives on their business.
From 1991 to 1995 Ms. Campbell was a White House Cabinet Appointee under the President George H. W. Bush administration on the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco, where she served as Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Ms. Campbell recently served as a Board Member of American Pacific Corporation (Public, NASDAQ:APFC), prior to it being taken private and recently retired as a Trustee of the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. She was a gubernatorial appointment to the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange that implemented the Affordable Care Act in Nevada and was its Chairman until February 2015. In 2014 The Barbara Smith Campbell Distinguished Professor of Nevada Tax Policy at UNR was created in her honor. Past Board positions include Advisory Board Member of AMERCO (Public, NASDAQ:UHAL), parent company of U-Haul International and is immediate past Chairman of the Board of Nevada Taxpayers Association and many other non-profit boards. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for the College of Business at UNR and the Board of Directors for Bishop Manogue Catholic high School.
Ms. Campbell attended the University of Santa Clara and the University of Nevada Reno and graduated with a Business Administration degree in Economics.
