Charlie Stewart of DC Building Group
(Las Vegas) – Las Vegas-based DC Building Group, formerly Danoski Clutts Building Group, announced that Lead Estimator, Charlie Stewart, has been elected President of the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE), Chapter 72.
Stewart’s tenure is for the 2015-2016 year and begins Aug. 1. He will take over for current President Glenn Viloria of On Guard Fire Protection, who has held the position for several years.
“We’re very proud of Charlie for this accomplishment. He’s been an integral part of DC Building Group and now he’s poised to help guide the Las Vegas chapter of ASPE with his expert knowledge of the industry,” said Bryce Clutts, President of DC Building Group.
In addition to Stewart, ASPE Chapter 72 elected Chuck James, vice president; Mary Fisher, secretary; and Terry Barnes, treasurer. Jim Oberndorfer, Glenn Viloria, Jim Hall, Mike Cox and Karie Lawson are the directors-at-large.
Stewart also became a Certified Professional Estimator recently, one of only 14 in Nevada and 1,339 in the United States. Meant to be an educational process, estimators are required to submit an application, technical paper, pass two intensive exams and comply with renewal standards in order to become a CPE.
