Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant Crazy Pita Rotisserie & Grill announced today they are now offering the newly renamed Joshi’s Pita as part of their permanent, updated menu. Previously the Kefta Pita (Josh’ favorite dish), Joshi’s Pita was renamed in remembrance of the late Josh Stevens who passed away from a tragic accident in 2008. Five percent of every Joshi’s Pita sold throughout the year will support The Josh Stevens Foundation and its mission to encourage more people to be kind, more often.
Crazy Pita has partnered with The Josh Stevens Foundation since its origination in 2009. Owner Mehdi Zarhloul serves on the board of directors for the non-profit and remains a close personal friend of the Stevens family. Now that Joshi’s Pita is a permanent item on Crazy Pita’s menu, proceeds will benefit the foundation on an ongoing basis. Also, the foundation’s “Be Kind” items are displayed and sold at all three Crazy Pita locations year-round with 100 percent of the proceeds directly benefitting the organization.
The Josh Stevens Foundation has worked with over 350 schools across 12 states and in Africa. In addition, Clark County School District will open Josh Stevens Elementary School in Henderson for the 2017-2018 school year.
