(Reno, Nev.) — The Ferraro Group, a public relations and public affairs firm with offices in Reno, Carson City, Las Vegas, and Phoenix, has hired Rachel Wright as a public relations account executive.
In her new position, Wright will be responsible for public relations and social media efforts for both local and statewide clients. She will be working with various accounts, including the Nevada State Contractors Board, Nevada Donor Network, Western Governors University, Governor’s Office of Economic Development, and more.
“Rachel brings a wide range of communications skills to our firm, and we believe our clients will benefit from her being part of The Ferraro Group team,” said Greg Ferraro, president and founder of The Ferraro Group. “We’re excited to have her here in our office and our local community.”
Before joining The Ferraro Group, Wright spent five years in sports public relations. After internships with the Reno Aces, Reno Bighorns, and the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, she graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts with High Distinction from the Donald J. Reynolds School of Journalism. Wright then became the director of media and public relations for the Las Vegas Wranglers, a minor-league hockey team which received nationwide media coverage for its promotions. A native Nevadan, Wright most recently worked as communications coordinator for The Animal Foundation, Nevada’s largest open-admission animal shelter based in Las Vegas.
