(Las Vegas) – Matt Smith Physical Therapy recently completed its fourth annual food drive benefiting Three Square Food Bank. The company collected 706 pounds of food, which will help create 588 meals that will be given to Three Square’s more than 1,300 community partners who feed more than 137,000 food-insecure men, women and children each month.

The company’s commitment and support of Three Square Food Bank has steadily increased over the years. Since the food drive’s inception in 2012, Matt Smith Physical Therapy has collected 4,291 pounds of food for our local community.

The company’s annual food drive is one of the many charitable endeavors the physical therapy clinic participates in, as a part of its on-going “Changing Lives” community campaign which allows the community-oriented company to give back to those in need. Among its annual efforts are: A Latin Chamber of Commerce scholarship program for students seeking to study healthcare-related fields in college; Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation support; school supply drives; and Child Haven toy drives.

Matt Smith Physical Therapy has increased its commitment to community outreach by establishing the “Change Reaction” program with the Clark County School District. The “Change Reaction” effort is encouraging students to pay it forward to other students to make a positive change in all their lives. The effort is teaching children about the importance of a sense of community and caring for others. Once a month, one of the nine selected elementary schools decide their gift for the next school.
