Local Businesses Serve as Drop-Off Points to Help Fill a Cabana with Winter Coats for Men, Women & Children

(Las Vegas) – Wet‘n’Wild Las Vegas today announced it is spearheading a ‘Coats in the Cabana’ Drive, a charity effort designed to collect new or gently used, clean coats for men, women and children that will be donated to the Salvation Army, the Shade Tree Shelter and Child Haven during the winter months.

Community members who donate to the drive will receive a $10 coupon toward a 2016 Wet‘n’Wild Season Pass for each coat donated. Among businesses serving as drop-off locations are: Simmons Group, Grand Canyon Development Partners, SurgiSpa, Fisher & Phillips LLP, and the Jolley Urga Woodbury Little law firm.

“Wet‘n’Wild may be a summer park, but we are members of this community year round,” said Takuya Ohki, general manager of Wet‘n’Wild Las Vegas. “We are always happy to help those in need and give them access to something everyone should have when the weather turns cold – coats. We are also grateful to the participating local businesses for their giving spirits and willingness to assist in this effort.”

The locations to drop off coats and receive the season pass vouchers are as follows:
• SurgiSpa/Dr. Arthur Cambeiro
2370 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suite 130
Henderson, NV 89052

About Wet‘n’Wild Las Vegas

Wet‘n’Wild Las Vegas is Nevada’s premier water park with more than 25 slides and attractions covering more than 20 acres, and a place for both thrill seekers and families. As Las Vegas’ Summer Playground, the park features the Tornado, a premier slide that catapults riders to a zero gravity experience; Rattler, the first slide of its kind in North America; and Constrictor, an extreme water slide featuring some of the tightest turns. Families and those desiring a more relaxing experience can enjoy Paradise Falls, the interactive children’s area with kid friendly slides and a giant dumping bucket; Colorado Cooler lazy river; and Red Rock Bay wave pool. During its third season, one of the park’s most popular slides, Zipp Zapp Zoom, featured a new and exciting addition, Slideboarding, the world’s first waterslide gaming experience. Slideboarding integrates gaming, skill, and competitive sports with the thrills of a water park. The property is a partnership between Village Roadshow Theme Parks, the majority owner and overseer of day-to-day operations, and Las Vegas investors through SPB Partners, one of Nevada’s first private equity funds.
